Veterinarian

Abigail Messina, DVM

Dr. Messina has dreamed of being a veterinarian since age seven. After earning her biology degree from Mount Holyoke College and her DVM from Mississippi State University in 2009, she spent seven years in a busy Massachusetts practice, where she developed a passion for acupuncture, behavioral medicine, and hospice care.

In 2016, she and her family finally made Maine their home. Dr. Messina believes wholeheartedly in the comfort and benefits of Fear Free™, in-home veterinary care—from routine vaccines to compassionate end-of-life support. She finds deep reward in helping pets and their people through all life stages and loves using acupuncture to improve comfort and wellbeing.

She lives in Woolwich with her husband, Scott, their children Finnegan, Oliver, and Hazel, Great Dane Agnes, and cat Malcolm. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, and relaxing at the beach with her family.

Client Liaison

Morgan Saunders, LVT

Morgan has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for nearly 10 years, working at multiple veterinary practices across the state. She's decided to trade in the hands on animal handling for a seat behind the scenes as a Client Liaison with Vet At Your Door. Morgan enjoys hiking and most outdoor activities, has a passion for exercise and is obsessed with cats, owning four nearly identical tuxedo cats and one goofy Labrador.
