Jillian Crutchfield, DVM

Maine is where I am born and raised and look forward to raising my own right here. 

After earning my Bachelors of Science in Marine Biology at Maine Maritime Academy I spent the majority of my veterinarian schooling in Grenada at St George's University. This is where I truly fell in love with their community medical and veterinary efforts known as One Health One Medicine. This movement provided both healthcare and veterinary care to the local communities of the island. I spent my last year of clinical studies at Cornell University. My husband (Nic) and I moved back to Maine to get to work in a busy general practice in West Gardiner from 2019 to 2026. We have recently found home in Farmington with our three daughters, Sawyer, Charlotte and Helena. Our chickens and 2 cats, Duck and Goose, seem to keep us busy when we are not spending weekends at camp, gardening, canning, sewing and making lots of messes outside. 

Over the years I have grown to enjoy bringing pet care into clients homes where we see pets are most comfortable and most themselves. This breeds a more tailored level of treatment and encourages continuity of care which is exceptionally important with geriattic pets or those who require more intensive care. My love for surgery has developed over the years as well I and hope to bring these skills to Vet At Your Door.
