Lisa Benson, DVM

Dr. Lisa Benson is a veterinarian trained at Cornell University and Angell Animal Medical Center, with a focus on proactive, quality-centered care. Her background spans emergency, general medicine, shelter work, and exotic species across numerous practices and communities throughout the region. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture and has additional training in pain management and rehabilitation medicine.

Her practice is rooted in a lifelong love of animals. She came to house call medicine because she believes great care begins by meeting animals where they’re most themselves: at home, in their place of comfort and belonging.

Meredith, LVT, CCRVN
Meredith originally studied graphic design when she started volunteering at a small zoo in California. She loved working with and caring for the animals so much, she changed her major to veterinary technology and earned her degree at the University of Cincinnati in 1994.

She grew up in Cincinnati Ohio and her family vacationed in Maine. She and her family relocated to Maine in 2007. She obtained her Certification in Canine Rehabilitation in 2023 and has worked to improve her patients quality of life by increasing their comfort and mobility.

Meredith is excited to bring her love for animals, and her desire to improve their lives through high quality care to Vet at Your Door.

Hobbies include gardening, creating art and spending time with family. She has one cat, Thomas, who just turned 18!
