Licensed Veterinary Technician - House Call Tech Team Lead
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours (typically 8am-5pm)
Location: Brunswick, ME
Compensation: $25+/hour (based on experience) + full benefits
Perks: Health, vision, dental, generous PTO, CE days and allowance, 3% SIMPLE IRA match, life insurance, short/long-term disability, company vehicle provided for home visits
Practice: Privately-owned!
You pull into the driveway, your Vet At Your Door vehicle stocked and ready. You and an assistant are the day’s Tech Team, working on behalf of our veterinarians to complete technician-only appointments: boosters, lab draws, nail trims, wellness follow-ups, all in the comfort of the pet’s home. It’s calm, it’s personal. You're not rushed - you’re trusted.
Your first patient remembers you - tail wagging before you even ring the bell. After your visit, you document care and head to the next. Most days, you're in the field for the first half of the day, then back at our cozy Brunswick base for the second.
Afternoons are focused and satisfying: you're filling and shipping medications through our in-house Mail Order system - something most practices hand off to third parties. But not us. We’ve built our own system because we believe in owning the client experience, from start to finish. That’s how we do things: thoughtfully, independently, and with care.
You’ll also be part of the engine that keeps our practice running when the unexpected happens. Whether it’s covering a teammate's vacation or stepping in to assist a doctor in the field, you’ll flex into a Float LVT role as needed. It might be a day here and there, or a stretch when someone’s out. You’re adaptable and ready to support the teams that make Vet At Your Door so special.
Brunswick is your home base, and you'll also start your day in Kennebunk occasionally, both to provide support and to use the Kennebunk-based vehicle for appointments in that area.
You’ll love this if you’re someone who:
-
Thrives on autonomy but values being part of a tight, kind team
-
Is flexible and easygoing, happy to jump in wherever you’re needed to keep the day running smoothly.
-
Enjoys both hands-on patient care and systems that make things work
-
Takes pride in details, whether it’s packaging meds or keeping clients informed
-
Wants to be part of a mission-driven, independently built, privately owned practice
You bring:
-
Maine Veterinary Technician license
-
2+ years of clinical experience
-
Confidence in the field and a calm, helpful presence in the home
-
Curiosity, reliability, and clear communication
We offer:
-
A company vehicle for home visits
-
A dedicated assistant on your Tech Team
-
Full benefits package:
-
Health, vision, and dental insurance
-
3% Simple IRA match
-
Short- and long-term disability coverage
-
PTO - 3 weeks Years 0-5, then 4 weeks thereafter.
-
Nine holidays paid.
-
$750 and two days for CE
-
MVMA membership and LVT license fee covered. Annual scrubs allowance.
-
-
No nights, no weekends, no ER, no surgery
-
A thoughtful, growing team where your work matters

General Practice Veterinarian - 4-Day Week, No Weekends or Surgery (Brunswick Area)
Location: Brunwsick, ME
Schedule: 36 hours/week, 4-day workweek (no weekends or after-hours) - we are passionate about work/life boundaries.
Pay: Competitive salary + twice yearly bonuses.
Perks: Health, vision, dental, generous PTO (3 weeks until year 5, then 4 weeks thereafter), CE days (2) and allowance ($2500), 3% SIMPLE IRA match, life insurance, short/long-term disability
Practice: Privately-owned!
Imagine starting your day with a teammate you know and trust—your dedicated veterinary technician—loading up the car, checking in with your client liaison, and heading out to see pets who’ve grown up with you. These aren't rushed appointments in loud lobbies; they’re calm, meaningful visits in the place pets are most comfortable—their home.
You’ll see 6–7 households a day, mostly familiar clients who consider you part of the family, and occasionally new ones eager to build that same long-term relationship. Your mornings might include managing chronic conditions, performing diagnostics, talking through treatment options, or helping a family say goodbye to their beloved companion. It’s full-spectrum care with the time and connection to do it right.
You’re part of a One Team: the same veterinary technician, the same client liaison—your team—every day, seeing YOUR clients. Your liaison fields calls, manages communication, and keeps your day flowing so you can focus on what you love: the medicine, the relationships, the moments that matter.
This isn't for someone who wants to be in the OR or ER—we don’t do surgery or emergency calls—but it's the bees' knees for someone who likes to go deep on case workups, long-term care, and end-of-life support. You’ll build a meaningful caseload of pets you really know and follow and guide them through all stages of life.
By 4:00 PM, you’re finishing up back at the office. Then you head home, maybe with a thank-you card or some fresh eggs from a grateful client. You’ll head into your long weekend proud, fulfilled, and already looking forward to Monday.

In-Field Licensed Veterinary Technician for a NEW team in Brunswick!
Location: Brunwsick, ME
Schedule: 40 hours/week, 4-day workweek (no weekends or after-hours) - we are passionate about work/life boundaries.
Pay: $25-27/hr plus bonuses
Perks: Health, vision, dental, generous PTO (three weeks years 0-5, then four weeks thereafter), two CE days and $750 allowance, 3% SIMPLE IRA match, life insurance, short/long-term disability, annual scrubs allowance, MVMA membership and LVT license covered.
Practice: Privately-owned!
Imagine starting your day on the road with your veterinarian, a stocked vehicle, and a mapped-out route—ready to deliver care that pets and their families genuinely appreciate. No crowded waiting rooms, no harsh fluorescent lights—just real connections, personalized medicine, and the comfort of home.
You’re part of what we call a One Team: a veterinarian, a Licensed Veterinary Technician (that’s you), and a virtual Client Liaison, working closely together to care for a small, consistent group of patients throughout their lives.
Your mornings might include drawing labs on a living room floor, giving vaccines to a relaxed retriever curled up in her bed, or guiding a worried owner through their cat’s GI upset. Some days, you'll help a beloved pet cross the rainbow bridge, offering comfort and support during a family's hardest moments—because in-home care means being there for every stage of the journey.
Midday, you’ll pull over in a quiet spot to update records, call in prescriptions, and answer client questions. Your Client Liaison is working behind the scenes to make things smoother, and your veterinarian is right there beside you—an actual teammate, not just a voice from another room.
By 4:00 PM, you’re back at the office to restock and prep for tomorrow, heading home by 5:00 PM—maybe with a jar of maple syrup or a dozen farm-fresh eggs from a grateful client.
Why You’ll Love It Here:
-
A 4-day, 36-hour workweek — no weekends, no after-hours - we are passionate about boundaries.
-
Twice-yearly bonuses based on team performance.
-
Full Fear Free Certification, if you don't already have it.
-
A supportive, drama-free culture that values your well-being and growth.
-
Full benefits: health, dental, vision, CE allowance, 3% IRA match, generous PTO, disability, life insurance, and a uniform stipend.
-
A modern practice model that lets you truly use your skills and build lasting relationships.
If you're a Licensed Veterinary Technician who wants to do meaningful work, lead with compassion, and build a rewarding career with our Brunswick team, we'd love to meet you.
