What is a VAYD Wellness Clinic?
Our new VAYD Wellness Clinic serves a great need in our community for efficient, cost-effective, and compassionate wellness care for local dogs and cats. Services at the VAYD Wellness Clinic include vaccines, heartworm tests, fecal tests, and other services like microchips, nail trims, and anal gland expression. There is also the opportunity to purchase heartworm and flea/tick preventatives once we have examined your pet. For a full list of Wellness Clinic offerings, click here.
How is it different from a house call visit?
The VAYD Wellness Clinic is very different from our normal house call visit yet both result in keeping animals healthy. The VAYD Wellness Clinic focuses on helping as many animals as possible in about 1 1/2 hours and at one determined location. The animal's time with the veterinarian is between 3-7 minutes, and it is done curbside (so the client doesn't interact with the veterinarian unless there is an issue). House calls, on the other hand, are focused on providing one-on-one deeper interaction with the veterinarian and a more thorough examination and discussion in the comfort of the pet's home, and lasts 30-60 minutes.
How do I get my animal seen?
We are excited to now be offering scheduled appointments! This will hopefully alleviate long wait times that accompany "first-come first-served" methods.
Please fill out the form below to choose an appointment time and choose what services you would like. It is vital that any previous veterinary records be uploaded when you book. This process will make wait times much shorter. If you show up with records that need to be reviewed, your appointment time will be forfeited and you will be placed in the "first come, first served" line that will be fit in between or after appointments if time allows.
