For Regular Appointments

Wellness visits, sick visits, hospice care evaluations, acupuncture, and laser

**Firstly, for your knowledge, all members of our team are vaccinated for COVID-19. **

Our COVID protocols are as follows:

1. Please RESCHEDULE your appointment if you or anyone in your household:

  • Has a COVID test pending.

  • Has tested COVID positive in the last 10 days.

2. Wear a mask if you are displaying any signs of illness (runny nose, cough, fever, etc.), even if you have tested negative for COVID.

3. Masks are now optional if you are feeling healthy. Your doctor/tech team may or may not be masked, depending on their personal preference. If you prefer us to wear a mask, we are absolutely happy to oblige - just let us know. No awkwardness here!

4. For dogs:

  • If weather permits and your dog is up for it, we prefer to do appointments outside. If it is cold or inclement weather, we can do the appointment indoors, however we may step in and out to minimize exposure.

5. For cats:

  • Please be sure your cat is easily available to us when we walk inside. You can use a carrier or a room without a place for them to hide. If we can’t easily access your cat, the appointment will need to be rescheduled.

6. Answer the questions in the "pre-exam" check in email we will send a week or two prior to the appointment to help us be efficient and prepared.

COVID-19 Protocols for Euthanasia Appointments

It’s strange to say, but euthanasias are one of the most rewarding things we do. Through years of experience, we have refined our methods to make this heartbreaking situation as peaceful for the pet and family alike.  COVID-19, of course, has thrown a wrench in things (though our protocols are less stringent than they used to be).  We pride ourselves on still making the process as meaningful and loving as we did before the pandemic.

2. Our staff members have different masking requirements depending on their risks (immunocompromised people at home, for example) and preferences. We will let you know if masks are required at the appointment.  They are otherwise optional if you are feeling healthy. We do require that you mask if you are displaying any symptoms (runny nose, cough, etc.) whatsoever, even if you have tested negative for COVID.   Even if it is determined that masking is optional, we may or may not be masked depending on personal preference.  If you definitely would like us to be masked, we are absolutely happy to do so - just let us know.

3. For dogs:

  • If the weather is nice and your dog is up to it, it's preferred to do the euthanasia outside. Comfort is paramount, however, so if indoors is best, that is just fine. Again, we just ask that you mask.

4. For cats:

  • Please have your cat easily available to us upon walking inside.

5. We ask that you make payment ahead of the appointment - again, to minimize exposure and contact. We will send you the invoice ahead of the appointment that explains the way to pay online.

Thank you for your understanding of these protocols. Please reach out with any questions or concerns you have.

Warmest Regards,
